How do you create and sustain positive change in a world where petty is cool and being negative is norm?

Creating positive change in life is one type of effort, but SUSTAINING positive change in your personal life and or your professional team setting can sometime feel like an uphill battle. NO FEAR JBA is here! Here are some simple tips to strengthen your legs as you climb uphill to stay positive.

FOCUS. FOCUS. FOCUS.

Kevin Bracey says "where your focus goes, your energy flows". Negative people, situations and experience grows and unfortunately flourish because people water the negative like a it's the office plant. Ignore negative people. Unfollow negativity on social media. Don't give it your attention. Rather focus on what you want to see happen. Listen to music with good vibes. Mediate. Enjoy

Focus doesn't come easy.

OUCH!!! THAT'S HURTS!

My mother was a nurse. She loved it. She had a career that spanned 50 years. Medically speaking, she understood the role that pain played in healing and recovery. She also was a woman of devout faith. She would come home from caring for patients and share lessons of spiritual growth using medical terminology. One evening when getting for bed she overheard me saying ouch as I brushed my teeth. In her very loving yet matter of fact mom voice she says "Pain means something is wrong - time to visit the dentist Jan."

Pain is literally your body yelling at your brain "SOMETHING IS WRONG! PAY ME SOME ATTENTION! I NEED HELP!" When attempting to sustain positive change you have deal with the things that hurt. Or the pending change won't apply nor stay. It's the equivalent of putting a band-aide on a gun shoot wound.

GET SOME FRIENDS! SUPER FRIENDS

I love all things superheros. Marvel. DC. Sky High. All of it. (Shhh secret nerd)

One of the favorite scenes of all time is during Justice League. Flash asks Batman "What's your superpower?" He responses "I'm rich".

To save the world these superheros had to allow each other to just be. When attempting to sustain positive change surround yourself with people who can help you do it. People with similar goals and commitment to positive change.
